AFEE

October 12, 2023

Dear AFEE members,

This is a follow-up message to my August 17 letter to AFEE members. By now academic-year activities for 2023-24 are underway, and hopefully going as well as can be expected in that initial ‘push’ accompanying the beginning of any Fall semester or quarter. The August letter congratulated our 2024 AFEE Award winners; this letter provides an update on the list of nominees for AFEE offices for 2024.

As in August, I’d like to renew our collective thanks to the 2023 AFEE Nominations Committee, and especially chair Barbara Hopkins (chair, Wright State University, USA). She and the other committee members - Leila Davis (University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA), Asimina Christoforou (Panteion University, Greece), Felipe Almeida (Federal University of Paraná, Brazil), and Robert Scott (Monmouth University, USA) – have provided a set of nominees that have been fully approved by the AFEE Board of Directors. Here are the 2024 candidates for the AFEE Board:

President-Elect

  • Wildfred Dolfsma (Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands)

Board members:

  • Yan Liang (Willamette University, USA)
  • Eric Scorsone (Michigan State University, USA)
  • Karol Gil-Vasquez (Nichols College, USA)
  • Rojhat Avsar (Columbia College, USA)

All AFEE members will be invited to complete a ballot for this list of AFEE board nominees in a vote that will open on November 1 and close on November 30. When the ballot is distributed, biographical information will be included for each nominee, as well as voting instructions. Please do take the opportunity to participate.

Best regards,
