  • Environmental Research Foundation: News and resources for environmental justice. Providing understandable scientific information about human health and the environment. Publishers of "Rachel's Environment & Health News."
  • Essential Information: Founded in 1982 by Ralph Nader, Essential Information is involved in a variety of projects to encourage citizens to become active and engaged in their communities. They provide provocative information to the public on important topics neglected by the mass media and policy makers.
  • FAIR: national media watch group, offering well-documented criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986. Advocates greater diversity in the press, scrutinizes media practices that marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints. As a progressive group, FAIR believes that structural reform is ultimately needed to break up the dominant media conglomerates, establish independent public broadcasting and promote strong non-profit sources of information.
  • Global Exchange: a human rights organization dedicated to promoting environmental, political, and social justice around the world. Part of the international Fair Trade movement, working to ensure that people around the world get fair value for their work.
  • Jubilee USA Network: dedicated to working for a world free of debt for billions of people.
  • Moving Ideas Network: formerly the Electronic Policy Network, the Moving Ideas Network is dedicated to explaining and popularizing complex policy ideas to a broader audience. The goal is to improve collaboration and dialogue between policy and grassroots organizations, and to promote their work to journalists and legislators.
  • National Labor Committee (NLC): an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting and defending human and worker rights in the global economy. Leading anti-sweatshop organization.
  • National Low Income Housing Coalition: dedicated to ending America’s affordable housing crisis. We believe that this is achievable, that the affordable housing crisis is a problem that Americans are capable of solving. While we are concerned about the housing circumstances of all low income people, we focus our advocacy on those with the most serious housing problems, the lowest income households.
  • OneWorld: has a vision of equitable and sustainable distribution of wealth amongst the world's population, underpinned by global attainment and protection of human rights and by governance structures which permit local communities control over their own affairs. OneWorld is dedicated to harnessing the democratic potential of the internet to promote human rights and sustainable development.
  • Worker Rights Consortium (WRC): non-profit organization created by college and university administrations, students and labor rights experts. The WRC's purpose is to assist in the enforcement of manufacturing Codes of Conduct adopted by colleges and universities; these Codes are designed to ensure that factories producing clothing and other goods bearing college and university names respect the basic rights of workers.
