Greetings AFEE members,
I hope all is well. I would like to share some AFEE news and provide some details about the upcoming conference (Jan 3-5, 2026) in Philadelphia.
The AFEE 2026 election closed on November 30, 2025. Incoming board members for 2026 are:

In addition to these elected positions, the AFEE Board approved the nomination of Thomas Kemp, University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire, to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of AFEE 2026-2030.

AFEE events at the Philadelphia conference are outlined below. Additional details about each event are available on the ASSA program website, but you must select “Events.” AFEE events will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (PMD) while program sessions will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (PMD) and the adjacent Philadelphia Convention Center (PCC).

The AFEE membership meeting provides an opportunity to share updates from the annual board meeting, congratulate our 2026 scholars and the 2025 JEI Editor’s Prize winner, and to share the interests/concerns of members with the AFEE board.

After a very successful joint social event at the Marker last year, officers of multiple associations worked this summer to continue the collaboration. Complimentary drink tickets will be distributed to each participating association.
ICAPE Conference
In addition to the AFEE @ ASSA conference, AFEE is hosting four sessions at the ICAPE conference which occurs Jan 5 (evening) and January 6th at La Salle University – Founders Hall. Additional details about the ICAPE program are available on their website, icape.org
